The noise and drift requirements for a navigation-grade gyroscope are widely known, yet there is no simple analytic model of how the influence fix displacement error (FDE) an inertial navigation system (INS). This work derives analytical expressions cross-track along-track errors aircraft whose INS consists solely three-axis with perfect knowledge vertical direction. signal each Gaussian white modeled as first-order Markov random walk.
